What mood is that?
This quote is the opposite of the one I posted last week (“I write only when inspiration strikes. Fortunately it strikes at nine every morning.”), but it also exposes a basic truth. Sometimes as a writer you get stuck, and you need something to kick you into gear, whether it’s a rapidly approaching deadline, Dad asking about progress on the book, etc.
A little pressure can work wonders.
