My apologies for the delay in publishing Winds of War. I feel like I’ve been living in a coal mine these past two months, trying to get everything done, while still attending to important everyday tasks like eating, sleeping, or spending quality time with my long-suffering family members. They have all been wonderfully patient in dealing with me, particularly my parents. (Poor Dad, he spends his days answering plot questions. There are no surprises for him when he reads this book. And Mom, she puts up with living with a night owl, who may not be seen before 3 PM. Imagine if you couldn’t start your vacuuming till late afternoon because the night owl is still asleep.)
However, moving back to Winds of War, here is a short summary of the steps that remain to finish the book:
Step 1: The final writing/edits are currently in progress. They are due to be finished by late Friday.
Step 2: The complete book file is uploaded to Createspace (the publishing arm of Amazon), which will review the file to make sure that the content meets publishing standards.
Step 3: We order a proof copy of the book and wait for it to come in (it usually takes about 5-7 days.)
Step 4: Once the proof arrives, I’ll run it by my team for review.
Step 5: Publish!
The estimated book publishing date is sometime in the last week of December, probably about the 28th. In the meantime, until it arrives, I’d like to share with you this Winds of War Sample containing the first two chapters of the book.
I hope you enjoy it, and I look forward to share the rest of the book with you soon!
P.S. We’ll also be putting a full color version of the world map up on the website later today! Look for a new link in navigation bar up above.
